E.ON’s long-term commitment to Menopause inclusion recognised in Menopause Friendly ‘Birthday Honours’

We know that when we support our people and create an environment where everyone feels seen and valued, that impact naturally spreads — through our teams, our communities, and to our customers.

Real change happens when we prioritise inclusion and support for everyone — and that’s how we build not just a more inclusive workplace, but a fairer future for all.

That’s why we’re proud to have been recognised with the Long-Term Impact Honour by Menopause Friendly. This award celebrates organisations that were among the first to take action on menopause in the workplace — and, crucially, never stopped.

Leading the way and sustaining the change

In 2017, E.ON became the UK’s first menopause-friendly energy company and we’re proud that last year we were awarded the prestigious Menopause Friendly Accreditation, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to workplace inclusivity.

What started as early steps — raising awareness, providing resources, and encouraging open conversations — has evolved into a deeply embedded culture of inclusion. We’ve kept the momentum going, year after year, ensuring that menopause is no longer a taboo topic but a recognised and supported life stage.

A ripple effect of inclusion

Our commitment hasn’t just improved the workplace for those directly affected by menopause; it’s contributing to a broader culture of empathy and understanding. By normalising menopause conversations, we’ve opened the door to more inclusive discussions around health and wellbeing.

By meeting the standards of the accreditation, E.ON has demonstrated its dedication to promoting awareness, providing education, and offering practical support to employees experiencing menopause, including its colleague led inclusion network – Menopause Matters.

Kirin Kalsi, Director of Legal Compliance and General Counsel, and Menopause Matters Lead Sponsor at E.ON, said: “Being recognised with the Long-Term Impact Honour is a proud moment for all of us at E.ON. We were one of the first to take meaningful steps to support colleagues through menopause, and we’ve never looked back. This honour is a testament to our continued commitment to breaking down stigma, embedding lasting support, and creating a workplace where open conversations about menopause are not only encouraged, but normalised.”

No one left behind

This recognition affirms our belief that true inclusion means considering every stage of life and every individual’s experience. We’re honoured to be acknowledged for our sustained efforts and remain dedicated to ensuring that as we transition to our new energy world, no one is left behind.
