E.ON Apprenticeship Awards 2025

Celebrating success with the E.ON Apprenticeship & Skills Awards

National Apprenticeship Week at E.ON has been an incredible celebration of skills, growth, and opportunity.

From insightful webinars with the Department for Education to inspiring school visits where our apprentices shared their journeys, it’s been a week dedicated to learning, recognition, and development.

A big part of the week was our E.ON Apprenticeship & Skills Awards event – a fantastic event honouring the outstanding talent within E.ON.

Over 300 apprentices, mentors, leaders, and supporters gathered at the Coventry Building Society Arena to celebrate our 50 finalists and nine exceptional winners, chosen from a record-breaking 280+ nominations. Categories included Apprentice Ace, Mentor of the Year, Development Network Champion, and Skills Playmaker, showcasing the incredible impact apprentices and mentors have across the business.

Beyond the awards, the event was energised with inspirational speakers. Tim Campbell, the first-ever winner of The Apprentice and adviser to Sir Alan Sugar, shared his remarkable career journey. Chelsea Pitman, Head Coach of Nottingham Forest Netball, presented awards and offered valuable insights from her sporting experience. Meanwhile, our Skills Zone was buzzing as colleagues explored new opportunities for personal and professional growth, while engaging with other sectors of the business.
