Showcasing the skills of the female E.ON Next Veloce Racing team
For the women at E.ON Next Veloce Racing, there comes an extra responsibility, as they use the platform to engage and inspire young girls around the world, showing them that a bright future in motorsport is possible for them too.
One of the many strengths of the E.ON Next and Veloce Racing partnership is the mutual importance of championing diversity and pushing forward to making our environment more inclusive.
With E.ON becoming the first menopause friendly energy company and being recognised in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List for six years running, the platform we share is implementing real change.
Amongst all this inspiring work, there is the importance of the voices of individuals within the series, and this is where E.ON Next Veloce Racing really comes into its own. For the women in senior roles at Veloce, there comes an extra responsibility, as they use the platform to help engage and inspire young girls around the world, showing them that a bright future in motorsport is possible for them too.
Yve Odell – Senior Content Producer
Yve joined Veloce as a Content Producer at the start of 2022, and in the past few years has contributed immensely to the running of the team, recently becoming Senior Content Producer in February of this year. Graduating from the University of Lincoln with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production, and having previously been a Content Creator at Females in Motorsport in 2021, Yve is all about that motorsport content. On-event, you’ll see Yve sprinting after the drivers, on the hunt for the next insightful clip and providing the behind-the-scenes footage that can inspire young girls to get involved.
Yve said: “Having the opportunity to be part of such a creative, innovative team is so inspiring and I am proud to be a part of the E.ON Next Veloce family. Often being the only female videographer in various sports paddocks is empowering, and I hope as each sport grows, we can see many more creatives thriving in an equal, opportunistic space.”
Kate Hewitt – Senior Social Media Manager
Kate works as Senior Social Media Manager, having previously fulfilled the roles of Social Manager for Veloce and also for subsidiary Quadrant, Lando Norris’ gaming, apparel and content brand. Before joining the Veloce family in 2021, Kate worked for BAM Motorsports Group as a PR and Marketing Executive in 2019, and following that held a position at Influence Sports & Media as a PR and Digital Executive in 2020.
Kate works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything is running smoothly and that every output is as polished and impactful as it can be. The passion and drive that Kate brings to her work encompasses the E.ON Veloce Racing approach, as the team continues to disrupt the sport and push for change.
Hermione Hatfield – Account Manager
Hermione graduated in 2020 with a master’s degree in History from St Andrews University, before making the switch to Sports Journalism MA at St Mary’s University where she earned a distinction and Gold Standard NCTJ Award. Straight from there, she entered the world of motorsport with MPA Creative on an internship.
Initially working primarily on the Extreme E account, Hermione spread her wings into her role as Content Manager for Hansen Motorsport and Press Officer for Veloce Racing, working on the E.ON Veloce Racing team, VEXT, and Quadrant within the Veloce Media Group umbrella. On-event with E.ON Veloce Racing she is involved with driver management, producing press releases, and arranging interviews with media, as well as more digital roles, such as gathering content for the team’s social media.
