An innovative solution has helped streamline the recruitment process for E.ON, allowing the company to engage, hire and grow new talent faster than ever before when undertaking high volume recruitment drives.

The change stemmed from a major recruitment drive undertaken to quickly attract and hire hundreds of new contact centre colleagues. The new process meant replacing the manual handling of applications and traditional job interviews with a more comprehensive yet efficient personality test and situational judgment questionnaire.

Through the innovative Harver customised online platform, E.ON can now match candidates to roles swiftly and efficiently, a change which has revolutionised E.ON’s recruitment strategy.

The new situational judgement questionnaire now allows candidates to get a true feel of the role and a bespoke personality test helps ensure the company is recruiting the right people. The integration of automation technologies also enables the seamless progression of candidates from application to the Assessment Centre stage of the process.

This innovative and improved recruitment process is already leading to positive reactions from hiring managers and applicants alike, with E.ON now being shortlisted for the ‘Innovative Initiative of the Year’ award at the Utility Skills Awards.
