Energy savings advice hits the big screen thanks to E.ON Next

E.ON Next has taken over the British Film Institute’s ‘BFI IMAX’ cinema theatre at London’s Waterloo roundabout, installing illuminated imagery at the venue to inform on how households can ‘beat the price cap’

For the next two weeks, E.ON Next will light up London’s iconic BFI IMAX cinema to highlight how households can “beat the price cap”.

The promotion launches as the energy regulator, Ofgem, announced a 6.4% increase to the Energy Price Cap for Q2.

Located at one of London’s busiest transport hubs, E.ON Next’s BFI IMAX takeover aims to empower commuters to take control of their energy by highlighting the E.ON Next Pledge tariff, which tracks the Energy Price Cap.

Next Pledge – the UK’s first tracker tariff of its kind – is a 12-month fixed term product, currently priced at £1,688 for average annual consumption. The price changes each quarter in line with the cap – meaning if the cap falls, so does the tariff.

The transformation of the BFI IMAX is part of E.ON Next’s nationwide campaign, which also features digital, audio, and out-of-home activations such as the energy awareness hub at St Pancras station.

Julian Lennertz, Chief Commercial Officer at E.ON Next, said: “With confirmation that the Energy Price Cap will rise again in April, we’re focussed on helping customers understand the ways in which they can save on their energy. Our first-of-its-kind Next Pledge tracker tariff promises prices below the cap, providing peace of mind for customers.

“'As playmakers in the industry, activations such as the BFI IMAX takeover and the energy awareness hub at St Pancras station are just some of the bold and brave ways we are helping our customers. By highlighting the ways in which households can beat the cap, we are putting the power back into their hands – allowing them to choose the tariff that is right for them.”

E.ON Next recently announced it is offering eight days of free electricity on Bank Holidays to customers who sign up to the Next Pledge tariff before 26 February.
