New Year resolution from E.ON UK: beat the price cap this winter
- E.ON Next stages energy-saving takeover at St. Pancras Station
E.ON Next is transforming St Pancras Station into a hub of energy and money saving advice this week.
As the cold weather continues, this digital, audio, and out-of-home campaign will highlight the 'Next Pledge Tariff' – a tariff which guarantees energy prices will stay £50 below the Ofgem price cap.
Bringing awareness to the issues on consumers’ mind, the nationwide campaign will use London Underground’s iconic “mind the gap” slogan and combine vibrant animations on digital screens with a witty voiceover urging commuters to “mind the cap.”
Julian Lennertz, Chief Commercial Officer at E.ON Next, said:
"With energy prices rising, we're committed to helping customers start their year on the right track with more affordable options.
"Our 'Next Pledge Tariff' allows customers to beat the price cap, giving peace of mind to customers that their prices will stay below the cap.
“By taking this step, we're not just offering a tariff; we're offering a promise to our customers that affordability and transparency remain at the heart of what we do.
“This campaign is about making energy choices easier and more accessible for everyone, and we hope it inspires real action."
The station takeover turns an everyday commute into a moment of discovery, blending impactful visuals with clever messaging to inspire customers to take control of their energy costs this winter.
The station will serve as an energy-awareness hub, providing commuters with engaging content and practical advice on how to save. Travellers can explore the benefits of the 'Next Pledge Tariff' and discover how to switch by visiting www.eonnext.com/save.
Notes to editors
The Pledge is a 12-month fixed term tracker tariff with variable rates that are always lower in comparison to the Ofgem Price Cap, that applies to standard variable tariffs. £50 saving is applied as a reduction on unit rates split across both electricity and gas (£25 saving per fuel) based on Ofgem average dual fuel customer. Actual savings depend on usage, region and payment type. Payment by Direct Debit required. T&Cs apply.
