Apprentices rate E.ON one of the top 30 apprenticeship employers in the UK, and number one within the energy and utilities sector
Leading energy, sustainable solutions and green economy playmaker E.ON has been recognised as one of the best apprenticeship employers in the UK, according to reviews and feedback submitted by its own apprentices to Rate My Apprenticeship.
E.ON is now ranked number 26 in the latest national Rate My Apprenticeship Best 100 Apprenticeship Employers guide, and number one in the energy and utilities sector. E.ON has been named in the Best 100 list for three years running and has improved 11 places since last year.
The Rate My Apprenticeship guide is based on thousands of reviews from young people who have completed an apprenticeship in the last year, focusing on their role, their organisation and the social benefits associated with their scheme.
Helen Bradbury, Chief People Officer at E.ON UK, said: “I’m so proud that E.ON has once again been recognised in this year’s Rate My Apprenticeship guide, and that we’re again ranked number one apprenticeship employer in the energy and utilities sector. This recognition is made even more special by the fact that it’s based on the reviews and feedback from our very own apprentices.
“Harnessing talent at an early stage is crucial in ensuring we continue to develop the green skills needed to create our new energy world and to meet the nation’s net zero targets, and our apprenticeships are designed to help all our apprentices develop the future skills needed to thrive throughout their careers. I’m delighted to hear positive feedback from our apprentices and how they’re enjoying their scheme and reaping the benefits an apprenticeship provides.”
Daniel Wainwright, second year Digital Technology Degree Apprentice, said: “I chose the degree apprentice programme at E.ON because of the company’s reputation as an apprentice provider and my passion for sustainability, knowing that my work will directly contribute to a more sustainable energy future. The knowledge and skills that I have already gained as a degree apprentice have been invaluable to my professional development and I look forward to seeing where the next few years of my degree apprenticeship programme lead to.”
E.ON currently has more than 300 apprentices on over 90 different schemes and offer apprenticeships at all levels, including degree apprenticeships such as Engineering, Project Management and Environmental Specialist. E.ON also offers apprenticeships in customer service, accountancy, HR, legal and cyber security.
