Lost in translation? Not any more – the chatbot making EV charging effortless
From 'ciao' to charge, our new multilingual chatbot is making EV charging more accessible for all
A full battery, a clear route, and a stress-free charge – sounds simple, right? But when you're on the road in a new country, language barriers can turn a quick pit stop into a quandary.
While we can’t help with map reading mistakes, we can introduce you to Electra, the multilingual chatbot that’s making EV charging easier, smarter and more inclusive across Europe.
Now if you’re driving through a new country, your battery running low, and you spot a charging station where the instructions are illegible or in a language you don’t quite understand, there’s no need to panic – just ask Electra. Located within the E.ON Drive Comfort app, this smart little assistant is ready to translate, guide you to the right charger, and even connect you to a real person if needed.
Your personal (EV) co-pilot
Electra is more than just a chatbot, it’s more of a handy digital partner, ready to guide you to the nearest charging station, provide local pricing details and even connect you to a real person if you need extra help.
Currently available in Germany and the UK (with plans to roll out in Italy and Denmark very soon), Electra makes sure that language barriers don’t get in the way of you charging your car seamlessly at home or on your holidays.
Here’s how it works:
- Finds charging stations – Need a charge? Electra will point you to the nearest station and guide you through the process
- Speaks your language – Whether it’s "Hallo”, "Ciao", or "Hej", Electra adapts to your language preferences, even adjusting pricing to your local currency
- Connects you to a real person – Need a little extra help? No problem, Electra can hand things over to a live agent
The EV revolution is here, but managing charging shouldn’t feel like a puzzle. That’s why we built Electra — to simplify electric driving, break down language barriers and make sustainable travel more accessible for all.
So next time you're on the road and need a quick charge, just ask Electra. Because getting from "Ciao" to charge has never been easier.
