With a mission of ‘making solar standard’ solar PV experts Eco2Solar (the UK’s largest residential solar panel installation company, no less!) install on housing developments across the country. They work with the country’s best-known property developers to make the homes of the future more sustainable.

And there are a lot of homes. Since they started back in 2007, Eco2Solar have installed solar panels on almost 50,000 homes around the country, which have generated around 80 million kilowatt hours of green electricity for their new owners.

To put that in perspective, that could generate enough power to drive 230 million miles in a car, or make 2.6 BILLION cups of tea each year!

From their beginnings in domestic solar, installing on individual homes on behalf of homeowners through to working on hundreds of large new build developments across the country (latest project is a site that has 377 homes, with a potential power output of 750kWp across 2,237 solar panels!) they’ve solidified their position as an expert within the solar industry and a key partner for property developers looking to meet new sustainability regulations.

Eco2Solar, which first started in 2007, aims to make solar standard on every new home, making a difference for future generations by providing sustainable homes to help halt the climate crisis and give new homebuyers properties that are already fir for the future.

E.ON took a 49% stake in the business in 2020, showing confidence in the company and their approach to making new homes cleaner and greener. E.ON also brings its own expertise and support with opportunities to grow in this vital area of sustainability – for customers in their homes and across whole communities.
