Charging ahead | Our sustainable skills partnership with Dudley College!
Our brand new Net Zero Solutions Centre in collaboration with Dudley College is taking shape, training tomorrow's green energy leaders with the tools they need to transform the future.
We’re not just preparing for the future – we’re building it.
Our partnership with Dudley College of Technology is a shining example of this, as we work together to recruit and equip the next generation of the UK’s green energy experts.
And as part of our growing relationship with the college, we’ve constructed the new Net Zero Solutions Hub on campus, a project that marks a major milestone for our joint vision of a low carbon future.
Once fully equipped with solar panels, electric vehicle chargers, heat pumps, and battery storage, the centre will give students hands-on training with the technologies that are shaping a cleaner, greener future. Better yet, the centre itself will contribute to reducing the college’s carbon footprint, perfectly aligning with our shared commitment to sustainability.
What makes this centre truly special is its mission to be a hub of innovation and upskilling. By offering students and adult learners the chance to gain practical experience with the latest sustainable technologies, this training centre — our first project to unite all of E.ON’s solutions teams — is inspiring future leaders in sustainable energy and positioning the West Midlands as a key player in the economic benefits of the energy transition.
Located just a few miles from our own Net Zero Training Academy at our Kingswinford base, this new centre builds on our established partnership with Dudley College. T-Level students and apprentices from the college are already gaining invaluable hands-on experience with us.
Equivalent to three A-Levels, T-Levels offer a strong foundation for young people aiming for technical professions, and this year a number of students have completed the practical component of their Electrotechnical T-Level qualification with us.
Beyond student training, the new college centre will also offer upskilling opportunities for the wider community, right in the heart of England. We’re excited to support a future where everyone has the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable world.
