E.ON achieves Menopause Friendly Accreditation, reinforcing its commitment to workplace inclusivity
E.ON is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Menopause Friendly Accreditation, a recognition of its efforts to foster an inclusive and supportive workplace for employees going through menopause. The accreditation is devised by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace - the UK’s leading authority on menopause support in the workplace - and awarded by an independent panel of experts.
In 2017, E.ON became the UK’s first menopause friendly energy company, and this latest accolade highlights E.ON’s continued commitment to creating an environment where all employees can thrive, throughout any life stage.
By meeting the standards of the accreditation, E.ON has demonstrated its dedication to promoting awareness, providing education, and offering practical support to employees experiencing menopause, including its colleague led inclusion network – Menopause Matters.
Kirin Kalsi, Director of Legal Compliance and General Counsel, and Menopause Matters Lead Sponsor at E.ON, said: “Achieving this accreditation reflects our ongoing dedication to creating an inclusive workplace and the dedication of all colleagues who have supported our activities. By raising awareness and making meaningful changes, we can ensure that all employees feel supported through every stage of their careers. This is not just about meeting standards, but about genuinely improving the wellbeing and experience of our people.”
Deborah Garlick, CEO and founder of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, said: “E.ON gaining the Menopause Friendly Accreditation reflects their unswerving commitment to employee wellbeing over many years. I remember E.ON was one of the first employers to sign up to be menopause friendly back in 2017 when such a decisions was unusual and brave. I was honoured that they attended our very first Menopause in the Workplace conference that year and have watched them go from strength to strength ever since. They are hugely deserving of their Menopause Friendly Accreditation.”
The Menopause Friendly Accreditation process evaluates organisations across five key areas: culture, policies and practices, training, engagement and working environment.
E.ON’s journey to this achievement included providing training to raise awareness among employees and managers, as well as reviewing and enhancing its policies to ensure they are fully inclusive of the needs of menopausal employees.
Receiving this accolade places E.ON alongside other forward-thinking organisations committed to creating a truly inclusive work environment, further cementing its playmaker reputation as a leader in employee wellbeing.
