Cross-country control | saving energy for businesses across the UK . . . and beyond
When we say we serve customers nationwide, we mean NATIONWIDE – just take a look at our map of the more than 5,500 customer sites which rely on our energy expertise to maximise savings and reduce emissions
Our building management engineers at E.ON Control Solutions work with more than 5,500 business sites from (further north than) John O’Groats to (almost) Land’s End.
In fact, from a Boots pharmacy in Penzance to a Tesco store in the Shetland Isles – and from as far west as the Pembrokeshire coast to the eastern shores of Norfolk at Lowestoft – we truly cover all points of the compass across Great Britain (not to mention Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Poland, Germany and a whole list of other places).
Each pin drop in the maps below represents a single site – one of those thousands of buildings which are remotely managed from our Energy Management Centre (EMC) in Glasgow. The EMC and its expert team use the power of data, knowledge and experience to ensure each building is controlled, managed, and efficiently run, ensuring the balance between operations and energy efficiency.
To do all of this we rely on our leading Optimum Connect & Control, E.ON’s ‘Internet of Things’ platform to help customers to visualise their estate, identify trends, patterns, savings opportunities and to manage data quality.
These customer buildings are spread across hospitals, commercial, manufacturing, the public sector, IT, residential, retail and pharmaceutical sectors – with services ranging from small to major project installations, site support services, energy management solutions and data analytics.
Want some examples?
How about the 5-star Grade II Listed Ritz hotel in central London, where our remote management and maintenance provides them with peace of mind and assurance, as well as keeping their valued guests as comfortable as possible.
And also our work with the Tesco energy and maintenance teams to support energy and store improvements whilst maintaining a comfortable store environment for shoppers, enabling Tesco to achieve 50% of their annual energy reduction via remote connectivity initiatives and maintenance.
These control systems identify and eliminate inefficiencies in building performance to improve sustainability, reduce energy costs and minimise operational expenditure. An ongoing and efficient maintenance regime is essential for the optimum control – with buildings hosting a well-maintained BEMS seeing energy bills 15% to 35% lower.
