E.ON Next customers could save an average of £325 a year – simply by downloading an app

  • Manage bills, track energy use, and control both home and business accounts.
  • From meter readings to energy graphs, the app makes energy management simpler.

As Britain shivers through January’s big chill – and with energy costs on the rise – millions of households remain gripped with worry over their bills.

That’s why E.ON Next is launching a new feature within its E.ON Next App which could help customers save an average of £325 per year.

By putting energy-saving advice at customers’ fingertips, this provides tips tailored to the profile of individual homes”

Free to download on the App Store and Google Play Store, it makes it even easier to manage your energy.

Whether you’re checking your latest bill or tracking your energy use, the app helps customers take control of their electricity and gas usage and bills.

Plus, you can use the app to manage both your home and business energy accounts.

Ramona Vlasiu, Chief Commercial Officer of E.ON Next, said: “Saving energy is crucial, especially while so many are struggling through winter.

“But rather than offering generic advice, we’re now delivering tailored solutions that empower our customers to make impactful changes in their homes and based on their circumstances.

“We believe that every little change adds up, and we want to be a leader in customer support with real innovation.

“Rather than simply offering an app that helps customers to manage their bills, we now offer one that helps our customers reduce them.”

With the app, giving meter readings has also never been easier. There is even a handy in-app torch for dark and dingy meter cupboards.

The app also offers energy graphs so customers can see, at a glance, when they are using their electricity and gas meaning they can check when they are using the most energy – and if they are using more or less than the previous month.

Beyond personalised energy-saving tips, E.ON Next has been working to help customers worried about the impact of the cold weather and rising energy price cap on their bills.

Next Pledge is a 12-month fixed term tariff with prices changing to stay below price cap every three months.

E.ON UK also recently announced it had had exceeded its original commitment to provide £60million through its Winter Support Scheme – by spending more than £70million.

The scheme, which closed in December, is part of a wider £92million package of customer support.
